He dared to challenge the States with Bitcoin... and he lost - Greatness and decadence of Ross Ulbricht's Silk Road
Launched in 2011, Silk Road has become the world's first black market thanks to the ingenious combination of Bitcoin and Tor.
This large-scale social experiment made history and democratised Bitcoin as a viable alternative currency. The experiment ends in 2013 with the arrest of its alleged creator Ross Ulbricht and the closure of the site by the FBI.
There is therefore much to learn about this project, I propose to explore the similarities that can be found with Bitcoin and thus further explore the history and ideology of cypherpunk.
