The Ethereum 2.0 deposition contract was deployed, the take-off?

Ethereum 2.0, the take-off? - Vitalik Buterin deposits 3200 ETH (1.1 million euros) and shows the example

The Ethereum 2.0 deposition contract was deployed earlier this week. Since then, ETHs are slowly starting to build up on the contract, thanks in particular to the help of Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum.

Vitalik Buterin leads by example

That's it, the final countdown for Ethereum 2.0 has begun! However, before the beacon chain is launched and produces the first block, the network must have enough validators. Thus, the deposit contract must have 524,288 ETH, or 16,384 different validators having deposited 32 ETH.

Two days after publication of the contract, the contract already has 34,213 ETH and keeps recording new incoming transactions at 32 ETH.

Of these 34,213, 3,200 (about 10%) were filed by Ethereum's co-founder Vitalik Buterin himself, in an effort to set an example.

A sawtooth participation

When questioned by our colleagues at The Block, Vitalik stated that he expected the contract to continue to be fulfilled little by little :

"As the stakers get their parts out of the cold wallets, get familiar with the tools and make sure the tools work and they don't accidentally lose their parts, etc.".

However, it wouldn't be surprising to see a peak in participation a few days before the supposed launch date of December 1, just like the ETH token sales in 2015.

"If you look at the sale of ETH in 2015 for example, there was a significant (but disappointing) level of participation on the first day, then very little on days 2 through 12, and then on the 13th and especially the 14th day (the last day with a full discount) there was a huge spike that ended up being something like half of all the ETHs that were sold." - Vitalik Buterin

Anyway, it is almost already admitted that Ethereum 2.0 will manage to gather the 16,384 validators, knowing that there are 125,000 Ethereum addresses holding more than 32 ETH.
