BMW : SALES DOWN 6% IN THE US IN THE 4TH QUARTER

BMW on Tuesday night reported a 6% drop in vehicle sales in North America in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night, but its annual sales rose on the strength of its SUV lineup and the Series 4.

The German automaker says it has sold 100,891 cars over the last three months of 2021, compared to 107,299 over the same period of 2020.

Over the whole of 2021, BMW says it has sold 366,574 vehicles, a figure up by almost 20% compared to 306,870 units in 2020.

In its press release, the management of BMW of North America therefore evokes a 'successful' 2021 exercise despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic and the problems of supplying components.

The group is highlighting a dynamic that remains 'solid' as it prepares to market at the beginning of the year the first examples of its electric models BMW iX and BMW i4.
