Volkswagen announces the launch of the Brose Sitech company on January 1. An independent supplier of automotive seating systems, this company is a joint venture (50/50) between Volkswagen and Brose.
With its head office in Polkowice, Poland, Brose Sitech can count on 5,000 employees at eight sites in Poland, Germany, China and the Czech Republic.
Brose Sitech plans to double its business volume to 2.8 billion euros by 2030 and reach 7,000 employees by that date.
According to Volkswagen , this company is 'perfectly positioned to meet the challenges of the changing automotive industry'.
Indeed, electric mobility and autonomous driving are changing the interior requirements of vehicles. 'The vehicle becomes a mobile living space and the importance of the interior and the seats as a differentiating element is increasing,' underlines the manufacturer.
