Emaar Development Profit Jumps 52% in Strong First Quarter

DUBAIEmaar Development posted a sharp rise in first-quarter profit as strong demand across Dubai’s property market continued to fuel sales growth for one of the UAE’s biggest real estate developers.

The company reported quarterly profit of 2.9 billion dirhams ($790 million), up 52% from a year earlier and broadly in line with analyst expectations.

Revenue also climbed strongly, rising 36% to 6.9 billion dirhams, according to a company statement released Monday.

The standout figure, however, came from property sales.

Emaar Development said first-quarter real estate sales reached 20.1 billion dirhams, marking a 22% increase compared with the same period in 2025, when sales stood at 16.5 billion dirhams.

The company pointed to sustained demand across both its established communities and newly launched projects, reflecting the continued strength of Dubai’s real estate sector despite wider regional uncertainty.

Founder Mohamed Alabbar said the results highlight the resilience of the UAE economy, which he said continues to provide a stable environment even as geopolitical and economic volatility persists across the region.

“The continued trust of our customers and investors allows us to maintain this momentum,” Alabbar said, adding that the company remains focused on delivering high-quality projects while maintaining operational discipline and long-term value creation.

Dubai’s property market has remained one of the hottest globally over the past few years, supported by foreign investment, population growth, business-friendly policies, and strong demand for luxury housing.

For Emaar Development, the latest numbers suggest that momentum has yet to slow.
