JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI — Amazon announced Thursday, November 20, plans to invest at least $3 billion in Warren County, Mississippi, to build a new data center complex aimed at supporting artificial intelligence and cloud computing technologies.
The project is expected to create at least 200 new jobs within Amazon’s data center operations, in addition to supporting more than 300 full-time roles across the Warren County community, according to the company’s official statement.
Job opportunities will include data center engineers, network specialists, operations managers, and security experts, while sustaining thousands of additional positions in construction and supply chain sectors across Mississippi.
This initiative marks the largest private investment in Warren County’s history and follows Amazon’s historic $10 billion investment in Madison County announced in 2024.
